STUDENT INFRASTRUCTURE ALLOCATION
A copy of the Student Infrastructure Allocation was distributed
to each of the members of the committee. $59,368 will
be available July 1st. The remaining funds will be released
mid-January, 2005. Dean Duggar asked Dr. Seydel to start
on the big items, such as, the classroom computers.
FLEXIBLE LOAD ISSUES
Other faculty members who are doing research and teaching
other classes, we are flexible in assigning teaching loads
and have to absorb the cost over and above what we’re
doing now. Don’t have to go through approval process
unless we’re asking to provide funds. We still have
6 research releases, but we can’t increase the number
of adjuncts we’ve asked them to pay for.
Dean Duggar would like us once a year to review those
who have asked for reduction, make sure we’re getting
productivity.
RESOLUTION
Dean Duggar distributed a copy of the resolution to the
board regarding special fee for the College of Nursing
and Health Professions and the College of Business.
Salaries – errors made in merit – truly are
errors. Women or minorities that have not been taken care
of – let Dean Duggar know. Dean Duggar needs this
discussion with committee members – Wednesday morning.
Then focus on the issue of their relationship with the
market.

position. Raise from instructor position to tenure-tract
position starting in August. This does not set a precedence
for others. She has publications etc.
DRAFT ON QUALITY & REPUTATION ENHANCEMENT PLANS
Dean Duggar is very interested in the students. Alumni
contact is still not good. Please review, mark up and
if you can think of better ways to improve our program,
please let him know. Maybe have Jrs. and Srs. go and visit
high schools and meet with students to recruit. Ask Terry
Cardy to meet with us to redesign office space.
Dean Duggar suggested offering an 8 week nighttime program
– offer a Fri/Sat class, Mon/Wed/ or T/Thurs.
Dean Duggar is looking for ideas to build our enrollment,
reputation, more attractive to students. He would like
to meet with anyone on it.
Dr. Washam suggested partnering with businesses, like
with Nestle to offer courses.
