    STUDENT INFRASTRUCTURE
Dean Duggar stated that we need to make presentation for student infrastructure on Monday, April 29th. The Student Advisory Council Chair did it last year. Dean Duggar asked what items we need for student infrastructure. Dean Duggar asked Dr. Seydel if the classrooms have been completed and Dr. Seydel stated that the classrooms are pretty much completed. Dr. Seydel stated that 10 computers were ordered for classrooms, Dr. Washam had one left to be done, needs another projector and mount. Jon Osborn is ordering projectors to finish up and Dean Duggar said that he doesn’t remember signing for projectors but did sign for computers. Dr. Seydel suggested upgrading a lab a year to Pentium II. Dean Duggar asked Dr. Seydel if we should make a pitch to go to the virtual lab for the allegiance/specialized labs. We need to coordinate with allegiance first and this should be part of infrastructure money. Dean Duggar stated that we were supposed to be going to a larger server. Dr. Seydel stated that it should be next on the list. Dean Duggar asked Carleen about getting a student representative to talk on this. NEED COPY OF THIS FROM LAST YEAR. We’ve been getting around $60-$80,000 a year.

Dr. Washam was asked if he needs anything. Dr. Washam asked if we could use student infrastructure for software and Dean Duggar thought we could.

Dr. Frey said he needs maps. In West Memphis, Dr. Frey stated that he had to use overheads and couldn’t use powerpoint and don’t know if anything’s been done about that yet. Dean Duggar asked Dr. Frey if he has a mobile laptop and projector. Dr. Washam said he didn’t have a projector so it would be nice to have the extra projector.

Dr. Frey could use a projector too. (2) Projectors needed. Dr. Seydel would like to have a mobile projector for travel. So we need 3. 30-34 computers about $1,000 each, server about $20,000, projectors. Dr. Seydel, Dr. Roe, Dean Duggar and Carleen are to get together with student on these items. Dr. Roach suggested Lori Gillis as she is a great presenter. Carleen says we can get a Powerpoint. Dr. Frey can get two people from the Marketing Club and Dr. Seydel said he could get someone from his club. Dr. Washam could get someone from his clubs and this would be the input for the survey from students. Dean Duggar asked Dr. Seydel to explain more about the NT Lab – It is to be a multi-purpose MIS lab and automated data capture lab and any other multi-purpose MIS lab functions. Dr. Roe – could use one more computer projector. Dean Duggar asked if we were okay with the distance sites and Dr. Roe said yes. Dean Duggar would like to have President’s of student organizations to get together this Friday or Monday.

    COMMITTEES
Undergraduate Curriculum Committee – need a rep that is very knowledgeable of Undergraduate Curriculum. Dean Duggar would like for us to start on the committees for next year and have them together for the next semester in August. Dean Duggar wanted to know if we should ask the faculty what committee they want to be on or just appoint. Committee members suggested we get people on the various committees that prefer to be on a specific committee. We will ask what the person’s preference is. In handbook there is something about PRT being elected during the summer before the next year.

Dr. Bevill would like to see a committee formed on Internships. Dean Duggar commented that 4-5 people had indicated that they were interested in this type of committee.
