Microcomputer Applications  Study of the role of the microcomputer as a tool used for business.  Applications covered include: Windows operating systems, Internet applications, MS Word word processing, Excel spreadsheets, MS Access database management system, and PowerPoint presentations.  (F,S,Su)

Visual BASIC Programming  Introduction to Windows programming using Visual BASIC. Students learn the concepts needed to write programs using event-driven, object-oriented methodology. Prerequisite: completion of business computer proficiency requirement.  (F,S)

Modern Programming Languages  Students solve typical business and industry problems using a popular business language (currently focusing on COBOL maintenance and migration issues).  Methodologies used include stepwise refinement, top-down design, and pseudo-language.
