Requirements for a Major in Computer & Information Technology

  • General Education and Business Core (85-94 credit hours)
     
  • MIS Core Courses (33 credit hours)
    • Typically taken during the sophomore year
      • Elementary level programming course:
        • CIT 2033, Visual BASIC*, and/or
        • CS 2183 and 2181, Structured Programming (C)
      • CIT 2523, Networking Technologies*
      • Second programming course:
        • CIT 3033, Advanced Visual BASIC* and/or
        • CIT 3303, Interactive Programming (Java)
        • CS 2193 and 2191, Object-Oriented Programming (C++)
    • Typically taken during the junior year
    • Typically taken during the senior year
