Business
Technology is a program of study designed to prepare individuals
for teaching careers in the area of business and information
technology. This degree is the foundation for those wishing to
teach at the middle or junior high school level, secondary
level, post-secondary level, or in industry. Emphasis is given,
through the College of Education, to the ways in which this
material can be most effectively imparted. For satisfactory
completion of this degree program, the student must fulfill all
applicable requirements as established by the University, the
College of Business, the College of Education, and the CIT
department. Vocational and Computer certifications are
available. The department is approved by the State of Arkansas
for teacher training, and graduates from this program are
qualified to teach vocational business technology education at
the secondary and post-secondary levels.
