Associate in Science, Computer & Information Technology

The AS degree in MIS is the only associates degree offered by the ASU College of Business and is one of the relatively few associates degrees offered anywhere at ASU.  For many students, the AS in MIS has served as a stepping stone toward four-year degrees, either in Information Technology or in other Business fields.  For other students, this degree has opened the door to careers as technicians in businesses and other organizations around the region.

Coursework for the AS degree is intended to provide the student with an introduction to the various MIS technical areas necessary to enter employment at the operations level of information systems departments.  In addition, the student receives a well-rounded general education and basic Business background.
