CBT Modules from Acxiom

Acxiom has made a number of computer-based training (CBT) modules on CD available to the faculty of the College of Business.  Available for checkout from Michael Glover, our Technology Support Director, are hardcopy installation instructions and the following training modules on CD:

  • Oracle: Introduction; Oracle8i Database Administration
  • Project Management
  • Systems & Database Design
  • Web Application Developer

These are not, however, intended to be materials to be available for student checkout. The idea is instead to provide interactive materials to help us to gear up for teaching material with which we have limited or no experience. For example, suppose you would like at some point to be able to teach VB as well as a course involving server and website administration for Linux systems. One way to prepare to do so is to work through the CDs for the "Microsoft Visual BASIC" module and those for the "Linux", "Internet Security", "Microsoft Visual InterDev", and "Web Master" modules.

Soon we will also have these CBT modules available also through a web interface, accessible from off-campus as well as on campus.
