of Business History
The College of Business is Arkansas State University's
third largest college with nearly 2,000 students. Established
in 1946, the College of Business has prepared generations
of students for careers in business by providing an education
which balances academic studies, professional skills, and
hands-on experience.
The College of Business is accredited by the prestigious AACSB
International-the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools
of Business, a distinction earned by only 25 percent of business
schools in the nation! Attending an AACSB accredited university
ensures that students receive a high-quality education needed
in today's competitive job market. The AACSB status guarantees
that graduates of accredited programs are aware of the latest
developments in their fields, have a broad understanding of
the business environment, and possess a working knowledge
of technologies. A degree from an AACSB accredited school
can make the difference when beginning a career!
Our four-year degree plans include majors in Accounting, Business
Administration, Business Economics, Finance, International
Business, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Management,
and Regional and Community Economic Development.
The College of Business also offers a two-year Associate of
Science Degree in Computer & Information Technology. The degree
is a great start for students considering a four-year degree
in Computer & Information Technology.
In addition, the College offers several masters programs for
graduate students: a Masters of Business Administration (MBA),
a Master of Science in Education (MSE) with a major in Business
Technology, a Masters of Science
in Information Systems and eCommerce (ISeC), and a Masters
of Accountancy (MACC).
Each program in the College of Business includes a strong
technology component to ensure that graduates are proficient
in the software packages most often used in today's businesses.
